This is a guide on how to store files in your network drive. Every district employee has a network drive that only they have access to. It is useful for storing files district-wide, and being able to access them from any computer. It is also a great way to backup any files in case of hardware failure or summer reimaging by the technology department.

When Receiving a Chromebook from Repair

IMPORTANT!!! Use the "Circulation >> Item Status" section of destiny to check chromebook status before checking it back out to the student. If it says that the chromebook is currently assigned to a different building, transfer it to your building in the “Item Status” section to see who it was checked out to previously.

DO NOT check the chromebook out to the student if the previous checkout does not match their name. If it does not match, inform the Help Desk.

When a student gets their chromebook and returns the loaner, check out the chromebook to the student in Destiny. Check in the loaner.

If a Student's Chromebook OR Loaner is Lost or Stolen

Check out a loaner to the student. Inform the Help Desk of the lost chromebook/loaner and the student's name. Your building tech will bring a replacement chromebook for the student. Do NOT check in a lost chromebook into Destiny, the Help Desk will take care of that. And they will contact the building’s financial secretary about charging the student.

If a Student's Chromebook Charger is Lost or Stolen

Give the student a replacement charger. Inform building financial secretary of loss so they can charge the student's account.

If a Student's Chromebook Charger is Damaged

Give the charger to the building tech along with a note of the student’s name. The technology department will determine whether to inform the financial secretary depending on the damage.
